　　Guangzhou Consumer Goods and Services Group Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Group) is the first large corporation integrating industry and trade in Guangzhou City, which is originated from Guangzhou Cooperative Business Administration established in September 1950 and gradually evolved into Guangzhou Light Industry Administration. On October 12, 1995, Guangzhou Light Industry Administration was transformed into an economic entity, signifying the officially establishment of Guangzhou Light Industry & Trade Group . In these two decades, it has successively integrated such enterprises as Guangzhou Second Light Industry Group(Holding)Co., Ltd, Guangzhou Light Holdings Limited, Guangzhou Packaging & Printing Group Co., Ltd. , Guangzhou Animal By-products Import and Export Corporation, Guangzhou Hi-Watt Battery Industry Ltd, Guangzhou Foreign Trade General Company and Guangzhou Textiles Industry & Trade Holdings Ltd.

　　At present, the Group has a total asset of 23.5 billion Yuan and a workforce of near 10,000 employees. With more than 200 subsidiaries, participated and associated enterprises, its business scope mainly covers four categories, namely, energy conservation and environmental protection, healthy foods, green daily chemicals and trade of stationery & sporting goods. It ranks among the top 500 enterprises of China, top 500 enterprises of China service sector, and top 100 enterprises of China light industry.
