This site is simply a world-wide fan petition to have Neverland Valley Ranch re-opened for sick children, and children's charities, around the globe to once again experience the magic and happiness that it once brought to so many. A place where fans can show their support to uphold the legacy he left behind.

Michael Jackson, man of charity

"Putting aside the entertainer, putting aside his contribution to the business, he was an incredible human being.." Jermaine Jackson.

Michael Jackson is known the world over as a superstar, selling hundreds of millions of records, an innovator in music, dancing, performing and songwriting. But he was much more then that - he was an even more amazing human being. Inspiring hundreds of thousands of people around the world to help heal the world and do what they can to help those less fortunate then themselves - in particular children.

Neverland was a place where he could not only escape the glare of the public eye, but share it with sick and terminally ill children and their families from around the world. A place where they could come and, if just for a day, forget their illness and simply be a child again.
He did this as a gesture from his heart, using his own money, not running it as a charity or wanting anything in return but to see the smiles on their faces.

Michael gave hundreds of millions of dollars and countless hours of his own time to charities and in particular, sick and dying children. He received many humanitarian awards.

Guinness World Records Honour

Michael was named 'Pop Star Who Supports The Most Charities' in the Millenium Edition of the Guinness World Records Book, supporting 39 charity organisations either through money donation, sponsorship of projects or participating in silent auctions. Charities included Childhelp USA, Children's Institute International, Dreamstreet Kids and Make A Wish Foundation.

On November 14 2006, Michael himself visited the Guinness World Records offices in London in 2006 to receive his collection of awards that he wanted to accept in person. This was captured on video which you can watch here.
 
Widely known for co-writing and recording the hugely successful We Are The World anthem in 1985 with a smorgasboard of stars, raising millions of dollars for Africa, he also wrote, produced and recorded the song What More Can I Give with a bevvy of stars following the September 11 2001 terror attacks on America. For varying reasons the song wasn't released until 2003, and proceeds given to children's charities. Watch the video of this song here.
 


A brief history of the Neverland Ranch

Michael Jackson purchased the 2676 acre Sycamore Valley Ranch in 1988, building it into his own personal home and amusement park and re-naming it Neverland Valley Ranch.

Neverland Valley Ranch was closed in 2005 and has remained so ever since.

It is currently owned by the Sycamore Valley Ranch Company, LLC - a joint venture between the Michael Jackson Estate and an affiliate of Colony Capital LLC.
